1991

Company founded

International Design Enterprise A/S was founded in 1991 by Ken Muff Lassen. Later on, the company name was changed to IDEAS, an abbreviation of the original full name.

Today IDEAS Denmark A/S is owned by Kens 2 sons, Allan Muff and Kenneth Muff Lassen.

Ken continues to be a frequent visitor at our office in Copenhagen, sharing his ideas and inspiring the management.

1994

CrushGrind® was brought to the market

CrushGrind® was brought to the market in 1994, as the original ceramic mechanism™.

1996

CrushGrind® Generation 2 was developed

Our second generation had improvements on the grinding experience. The ceramic cone of our first generation had a pentagon shape. The second generation had 3+3 teeth. This development refined the grinding experience.

2006

CrushGrind® Generation 3 was launched

The third generation of CrushGrind® was named Diamond. The shape of the ceramic cone had similarities to the shape of a diamond. And with the third generation we increased the hardness of the ceramic parts.

2015

The CrushGrind® Collection was brought to the market

The CrushGrind® Collection was introduced to the market in 2015.

The CrushGrind® Collection consists of innovative and functional household products. We combine Nordic design aesthetics with functionality, innovation and high-quality.

Our products are durable and produced in materials that are responsibly sourced, promoting fair labor practices.

We wish to inspire consumers to be more creative in the kitchen, trying new recipes and adding variety to meals.

Each product is crafted with care and creativity to bring a touch of playfulness into the kitchen.

2017

CrushGrind® Generation 4 was introduced to the market

Generation 4 was developed in 2017 and was named Quadro. The shape of our Quadro ceramic cone seen from the top is a square, thus the name Quadro.

With Quadro technology we refined the grinding experience and improved the particle grinding size.

CrushGrind® Quadro is patented technology.

2025

CrushGrind® Generation 5

We are in the process of developing next generation of CrushGrind® mechanisms. Expected launch is 2025.
